3. Previous bike experience and history:
I started riding road bikes in 2003 for fun, to get around city, and to get to class.
In 2004 I started racing Sprint Club, a fixed gear crit series in RVA & even went to T-Town to race on their Velodrome.
Fast forward to 2009 where I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury on a training ride in early January. Things were tough for a very long time...
2009 is when I started racing Cyclocross. It got me back on the horse! I loved the dirt so much that in 2010 I started riding hardtail MTBs (as well as still racing Cross and riding on the road.) 2011 I bought my first full suspension MTB and fell in love with technical riding.
2012 I landed on every podium of every XC race that I entered and ended the season taking the WIN at the XC State Championships.
2013 I moved to PDX and won my first Cross race. Finally. BUT then I fell head over heels for Enduro racing...
2014 I landed on the podium for the overall series for the Cat 2 Oregon Enduro Series
2015 I raced track at Alpenrose Velodrome once or twice and was also prepping for my (hopefully) EPIC Enduro season. However in June I had a bad accident out on the trails which set me back. A lot.
2016 I am going to have some FUN!
4. What do you do for fun?
Draw. Listen to Jawbreaker. Drink Whiskey. Paint my nails. Mostly all at the same time.
5. What does it mean to you to be on a WTF team here in Portland?
I am stoked that a WTF team will have me
6. Goals for the season
I haven't had fun while racing in a very long time. I want to feel the fun feels.
7. Something random about you.
I won't touch wooden things like handrails for example, because I have a CRAZY phobia of splinters.
A wooden Velodrome would make me pass out ...
