After all the waiting, speculating, and dances to make the rain go away- Track season is finally here! After a beautiful turn out for the Women's Track Clinic hosted by OBRA,  and maybe a couple more Wedensday night developmental classed- the BATTLEKATs are rolling! Here is what some of them had to say about track so far:
"The thing that stands out to me is how supportive folks are and how there's a great community for new racers. I was terrrrifieddddd at the women's track clinic   to get on the track for the first time, but everyone cheered for each other and were so posi. At events each week it's mostly the same group of folks and you all get to know each other and support each other. Jen and all of the instructors are so amazing, knowledgeable and encouraging!" - Dora

"I have been so impressed by how supportive the track racing community is of new riders. People really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and safe on the track. I gained a lot of confidence by going to Wednesday night clinics and highly recommend them to all beginners. Honestly, the feeling of riding on the track is addictive, it keeps you coming back! There’s nothing like centrifugal force to get your adrenaline running!" - Molly

"I feel a lot of addictive adrenaline going around the track. Different from the adrenaline I’ve felt in any other cycling disciplines. Its like you are defeating gravity. I’ve been sad each time I’ve gone to the track and its time to leave! The community is positive and welcoming and I really look forward to getting more experienced in this sport.

The fact that you don’t actually steer left to go left around the turns still blows my mind…" - Sharon
